She was amazing Penny. Truly an inspiration to women everywhere.
People may not like her and question her abilty to be Commander and Chief. But for me, just the fact that she was thrown into this and has handled herself beautifully throughout, tells me she is made of steel. So many times, with the attacks on her family, I would of been a woman, taken it personally, and put on the boxing glovesShe didn't, she stayed focused on the important issues they should be discussing. It is the political process for both sides and I think she handles it beautifully.
About an hour and a half of standing in a long line outside, I questioned what I was thinking attempting to attend an event like this. I would of left in a heartbeat, but Rachel and Phil were with me and they wanted to stay. I could of walked home before they got into the event, and been warmer because at least I was moving. But, it was really important to Rachel that I stayed, so I did. I was glad I did. I think she is amazing role model for my daughter and I was glad she was able to witness history first hand with Sarah Palin running for VP. She was an amazing speaker. Never once did she trip over her words and her heartfelt care and concern came through loud and clear.
This election is difficult because I feel they all care and have a great vision for getting this country back on track. For me, it has to come from the heart and not all about the power. Sarah Palin has certainly added and interesting edge for John McCain. I find her fresh and enlightening.
Two of her children were with and it was cute, at one point, when Hank Williams Jr. was performing, Sarah was on stage and standing back with her family. Her youngest daughter ran over to her and asked her something. Sarah immediately leaned down to talk to her child, instead of pushing her aside like now wasn't the time. Others probably didn't even notice it. It was so matter of fact that being a mother came first. I found that heartwarming and was thrilled to witness it with my own eyes.
