Wow G, if they are settling in France, lucky for them! What a great place to raise a family - beautiful country, wonderful people, and such healthy, fresh food! My kids adore France and the French people. Paris is a favorite city for them second only to Edinburg.
We have always traveled with our children - only two and without assistance. We didn't want to leave them behind. In fact, the result has been that currently our children do not want to travel anymore - haha!
At 18 and 15 they prefer to remain home whenever possible - stay with their friends and sleep in their own beds. I've begged them to visit China with me but they outright refuse. Oh well. I've always wanted to see the Great Wall - ever since I was four or five and I used to look at the pictures in my Little Golden Encyclopedia Set for Children. Do you remember those? There was a section on the Wonders of the World - it was my favorite
Anyway, I digress...
They have agreed to visit only Australia & New Zealand out of curiosity and Hawaii for the relaxation. If I promised to slow down my pace they'd consider other venues
But one only has a limited time and there's so much to take in!
When they are older they will appreciate it. They crack me up - most of their friends can't wait to leave home, our kids look forward to being home! So Gina, in the long run, traveling with your children when they are young is the way to go. When they grow older they don't wish to leave their friends.
