Thanks Dot. I believe that too. I believe they take the love and feelings we express for them with them.
The family had planned a showing for my friend before her Mass, but, were only allowing immediate family to attend. Which really upset me, but, I wanted to respect the families wishes so I kept quiet about it and decided I would have to find my own way to find closure. (The bird in my building was the only way I could find to do that, opening the window and setting it free.)
But, the Saturday night before her showing I recieved a call from her daughter telling me that I was considered immediate family to her mom and I was welcome to attend. *touching my heart*
Ya know, I knew in that moment that my friend was standing beside me as I grieved her loss of friendship. It was just too weird getting that phone call like she spoke from beyond as to her wishes. More bizarre because she was in my thoughts when the phone rang.
he was a loyal friend in a time that I really struggled with what a friend is. Her strength and loyality amazed me, and she helped me deal with a very difficult time in my life. I really wasn't ready to let her go, but, I guess that wasn't my call to make.
Hope all is well with you Dot.
