This has been a very interesting Primary season.
Of course, lots of folks from Illinois are rooting for our Senator Obama. He is very good at holding the attention of a crowd. He is articulate, clear and charismatic. Illinois moved our primary up to the huge super Tuesday primary in February to help Obama.
It does seem the more national attention he gets, the better he does in the primaries. I was very surprised he didn't take Texas and Ohio.
Hillary is a tough competitor though. This could end up being decided at the convention if they continue to split the wins.
I think the DNC should rethink having Michigan and Florida primaries. The thought of super delegates choosing the nominee at the convention seems contrary to what the will of the voters might be.
My Mom wants Hillary to get the nomination because she wants to see a woman President. I totally understand that feeling, but don't want to make a decision based solely on gender.
It is all a lot of fun to watch. I think it was refreshing that on both sides the nominee wasn't decided in the first 3 primaries. That means more people got to participate and felt their votes make a difference.
