It was here in the Washington area for not very long. I think the length and the contemplative nature of it killed it at the box office -- too bad, because it was very good. Some strong performances, and beautiful to look at. I thought Casey Affleck was excellent in it. He sure got under your skin with that weaselly character.
What a shame about Heath Ledger. He was one of the more talented actors of his generation. I still remember him in The Patriot, and especially in Monster's Ball. He really left a searing impression in that one.
