I am so sorry that your Dad has passed. It is such a loss. Both of my parents are still alive so I haven't experienced this first-hand. However, I have witnessed my Mother lose her mother - and it was devastating for her.
She says the hardest part is the permanency - not to be able to touch them, or smile with them, or share with them in a physical sense. She says the pain is the same but she feels it less frequently with the passage of time.
I love the thought of your father finally being able to be with your mother again.
