Thanks for your thoughts, Gina. Well, my dad reached the end of his journey yesterday afternoon. He passed away peacefully in the hospital, and my sister and her husband were with him. He had a long life (93) and a difficult past year, and now he is at peace and, I like to think, reunited with my mom, whom he had missed so much these past few years.

So I'll be off to the Midwest tomorrow. Sure am glad the ice storm is passed there. Penny, I hope you fared OK??
