Back at ya Louis!! OMG, we have a big deal in our downtown. We must of had 1500 children come through. They are so adorable, most of them had no clue what was going on. They would look at you with a blank stare. One of my stylist had vampire teeth on and the little ones couldn't take their eyes off her fangs. At one point I told her to quit scaring the children. LOL
I haven't been here for a while. Glad to see everyone is doing well. Penny exciting news for you. Congrats. And Dotters, I sent you an email about your cousin. My prayers are with you always. What has been going on with you Louis. Anyone heard from Grammy or Linda? eVe nice to see you around too. I bet your boys are getting big. Hope all is well with you.
I have to share my evening last night. i went to see my all time favorite musical artist live.John Mellencamp. He is still so amazing, his voice, just touches something deep inside of me. He had a section where he did accappella and it took my br3eath away. Honestly, I wish I would have been recording it. He did my all time favorite, "Minutes to Memories" in this accapella session and I honestly thought I would melt out of my chair. So amazing, the words, the message and before he sang the song he gave a little talk to the people under the age of 30 in the audience. He is so amazing and I really enjoy hearing his take on why things are the way they are in the world, because of the songs he writes. He also did a lot of his new songs accappella and what a great way to introduce them. You could actually hear and understand the words. Like I said he was amazing.
Then, the bonus was, the boyfriend of a gal I went with is friends with the drummer so he got backstage passes. Now I am not usually into that sorta thing, and I would of probably been speechless if I had met John.(I know, hard to imagine
) but I can get tongue tied on occasion. Anyway, I had bought t-shirts for my kids and I took them back with me. Not wanted to ask to have them autographed, the guy who knew him did for me. He knew I wasn't going to ask and he did, signed them personally to my kids. Well, I thought cool on the ride home, they will like that. When i got home, both of them were up and I thought they would flip that they had autographed them with their names. they thought that was about the coolest thing I had ever done for them. My son says to me, did you buy me one to wear, I can't wear this one now. I had to laugh, I was like, at 40 dollars a pop, I think NOT!! I told him, well wear it, and soon enough if you never wash it, it will walk around all by itself.
It was fun seeing their reaction. I felt like supermom.
If you haven't seen the words to Minutes to Memories, I will go find them and post them. Awesome song, I love that he wrote it down and remembered his conversation with the old man on the bus.
Hugs to all!! Thanksgiving is upon us soon and I give thanks for all my pals here!!
