Posted by Dot on 10/30/2007, 9:32 am, in reply to "I love it" I am off and running again! To San Francisco tomorrow for a conference, then to Chicago for my dad's 93rd birthday. He's doing fairly well despite his ills, and is happy to finally have gotten his electric wheelchair. Unfortunately, the birthday celebration is clouded by terrible news that my cousin -- battling cancer for the past 2 years, and just having had a stroke on top of it all -- is not expected to live long. He has been the lynchpin of our family for some time now -- one of those great guys who is there for everyone and makes a difference in many people's lives -- so this is a tough one. We will all make an effort to be strong for his wife and family.

I'm with Penny: If the Cubbies can't be there, I'm happy to see the Bostonians happy. Next year is the Cubs' year: the 100th anniversary of the last time they were in the World Series! (unbelievable, no?!) 359
