You have to admit, that is a very rare find in this life. I will agree that Brad and Angie have found this special connection. I just don't understand why wouldn't want to celebrate it in marriage? In the end it was important for me to experience it with my childhood and I feel it gave my a strong base throughtout my life. But, I also realize that doesn't hold true for everyone. I am just old fashion at heart. You are a more liberal thinker than me eVe,as is my brother.

I realize legal issues are a big reason why couples get married. To have the perks and the rights it gives them through the law. I have many discussions with my brother about it. He feels as you do, that marriage isn't anything more then a legal document. It makes me sad for him sometimes when we discuss it. But, he was raised with the same values as I was and I find it enlightening that we were raised in a home where our parents were married and placed an importance on raising us with those same values. He doesn't place the same value on marriage as I do so it is all in the eye of the beholder and generations to come.
I believe in marriage because of the example my parents set for me. But, I realize it is becoming a thing of the past as I watch the generations to come who put no importance on it at all. The world will evolve as it is meant to no matter what values we were raised with. I hate to see our youth push it aside so easily, but that is life.
