Posted by eVe on 1/19/2007, 5:01 am, in reply to "Congratulations to Brad & cohorts for Babel's GG" Had the liberty of watching the Globes Monday night...it was a pleasant surprise when "Babel" finally won at the end of the show. Figured it was going to be one of those situations with plenty of noms and no wins. Missed the pre-shows as I had forgotten about the GGs...so I didn't see all the gowns. From the presentations I do remember thinking that the woman from Dreamgirls...is it Jennifer Hudson? Well, you know, the newcomer who won and said "you don't know what this does for my confidence" (jokingly repeated by Eastwood later in the show)...I thought she looked very well put together. Whoever fixed her up for the show did a fabulous job. Her makeup was perfect and stayed beautifully even with the tears. The color and style of her gown were well-suited. Her skin was absolutely glowing. But other than that I don't remember anything jumping out at me. But then again, I didn't see all the gowns during the pre-show. Recently, however, I saw a picture of Halle Berry in a deep cafe-colored gown that looked stunning. I've noticed that Halle always seems to have these very classic but original gowns that I tend to favor. Oh, and I remember thinking that Cate Blanchett's hair looked pretty...kind of free and wispy yet in order. And of course...Brad and Angelina looked very complementary to each other. Maybe "Babel" will come around again before the Oscars and I'll be able to take it in. Did see "Night At The Museum" with the kids...and it was so funny! It even makes me chuckle now. Very cute with a nice undertone of the old chinese symbol that indicates behind every crisis lies opportunity...a perfect blend movie. Hope everyone is well...I've been straight out. Still working on getting it together...got lots of "stuff" to put in order. Btw, Happy New Moon! Yesterday was the the New Moon so if you'd like to begin a project...today is the perfect day. Off to start more adventures...
