The weekend began Friday evening with both savory and sweet Anything But competitions judged by Anderson's finest "celebrity" judges. They really enjoyed the creativity of the entries and of course the taste as well.
The fun continued today with butts, ribs, and a People's Choice competition. The results are listed below.
I'd like to thank Bradley Orr, the Trojan Cook-Off organizer and his entire team of students, volunteers, celebrity judges, faculty, staff, and AU alumni for hosting us and making us feel welcome once again at their Homecoming event. They are a blessing!
I'd also like to thank all of the cooks who braved the weather, cold, and even the small butts and produced exceptional entries despite the challenges. I had faith in you the whole time!
Thank you to all of the judges who came from near and far to expertly score the entries. I am tickled pink at the novices who were able to join us and I look forward to seeing each of you and getting to know you as part of this wonderful "family".
Lastly, but certainly not least I would like to thank my exceptional team of Marshals. You continue to mentor and care for me and I will be ever grateful for your support.
Thanks again to all and God bless as we share this journey on the BBQ trail, KG
