The SCBA will sponsor its first official Competition BBQ Cooking School in January of 2016. The demonstration class will be taught by two SCBA Championship BBQ Pit-Masters who have proven themselves on the battle field of competition. The caliber of the instructors will be the very best one can get in South Carolina and all secrets will be revealed!
Best of all it will be FREE to all qualifying SCBA cook teams. The school will be available, on a first come, first served basis to the first 30 cookers who apply. An application date will be posted on the SCBA message board toward the end of the 2015 competition BBQ season.
To qualify for the 2016 SCBA Sponsored Competition BBQ School, a team must have cooked in three (3) SCBA events in calendar year 2015. If you have not yet cooked in 3 events you still have several months to qualify.
Each qualifying team may send two (2) members to the cooking school.
This school is designed to help teams who are interested in improving their overall scores so it will exclude any team that has placed FIRST in pork in previous contests and it will exclude the top fifteen (15) teams in the year-end MBA standings.
Similar competition BBQ classes range in cost from $300 - $1,000 to attend. This is your chance to receive championship quality instruction for free as a reward for your good efforts and dedication.
