Pig on the Ridge is on Saturday, November 1st with an early morning judging. Judging begins at 9:30 am (9:20 am first turn-in time) and all judges are to report to the Ridgeway Fire Station, 170 N Palmer ST., NLT 8:20 am. They are expecting 60+ cook teams. This event has 2 cooking team status entries: Pros and Amateurs. They have the choice of submitting whole hog or butts, therefore, this is considered just PORK as the type of meat. There is still room for more judges, so if you can attend this event, please let us know or if it is a last minute decision, please come. Cell Phones: Greg-803-917-3578 or Diane-803-917-2757. You may email Greg thru Oct 30th: gladx1@aol.com.
Friday night is an Anything Butt (Save the Pig) contest which always provides some great food. One ticket per sample will get you some really good food. Ticket costs are $2.00 each. The team that collects the most tickets wins the Friday night Save the Pig contest.
If you have signed up and cannot attend, please notify us. Also, ensure that you indicate if you will be receiving an apron or a hat when you sign up so that we may have one to present to you.
We always welcome spouses and/or older teenage children to be runners to deliver the entries to the judging tables.
