Welcome to Aiken and the Newberry St festival site ! Horsin' and Hoggin is going to be better than ever and we will be judging 3 meats ! Butt, ribs and new this year- brisket! Of course, with 3 meats the bad news is that judges MUST be on-site by 0815 at the latest!! Turn in times will be 0900, 1000 and 1100. Table captains will have to keep things moving with only an hour between turn-in times. There is no designated parking for judges but there should be ample parking on nearby streets for us. The site of the festival is the same as last year, but for those who are travelling you can use 117 Newberry St SW for your GPS. Newberry St is right downtown just one block from the main business district (Laurens St.). If this is your first time in Aiken be sure to save enough time to explore the downtown area. You wont be disappointed. If you are a judge that lives in Aiken, be sure to introduce yourself to other judges and answer any questions about our beautiful city they may have. Right now, it looks like about 24-25 teams will be competing for $5000 in prize money.
