I was just made aware that the SCBA has backed up on the statement last week that The best of the best was a points event. I guess the SCBA made a mistake when you emailed that information back to the team that had asked. I understand your reason for not making this a points event and don't question the decision. Please put your rules in print, so we all can abide by them and not guess what they might be. To the team that inquired last week, I apologize and am truly sorry for passing wrong imformation on to you, as was the information I received from the SCBA. As remarks about the Beach Boogie event continue, I want to clear up the misstatement in regards to the meat for the SCBA side of our event. Beach Boogie provided all meat for the teams in the SCBA part of the cook off and until the SCBA coducts a meat inspection of any kind, any team can turn in cooked bbq not provided by any event and gain an unfair advantage. As requested many times in the past please post your rules online so all of the teams and events will know what is expected of them. You say the RED does not denote MBA points events on your website and I ask what does? Please make some notation, so we all will be on the same page. I wish the SCBA and all of your members, judges and officers nothing but the best in the future cookoffs and let's all get back to enjoying what is truly the best bbq around.
