I have decided and announced to the Hog Jam Committee that I would not be the cooker chair after this year. With today's decision by the committee not to have the cookoff, I am now officially not the chair for the cookoff. (Or may I an the chair of the not happening cookoff, whatever). I want to thank the SCBA and the cookers on the circuit for three wonderful years as chair of the cookoff.
Also, I announced a few weeks ago on the SCBA listserve that I was stepping down as a judge, Marshal, and what whatever else I was in the SCBA. My job has me going 6 days a week, and I had not judged in over a year. I felt it was time to step back. The event I marshalled has cancelled this year as well. It was time. Or as you all have heard me say before I'm 194.
