I've done many contests over the last 9 years, and some judges stay until awards, some do not. Many judges have become friends and I enjoy hanging out with them After judging is done. When it comes down to it, I really don't care if judges stay until awards or not. The event Marshall or his/her rep. should be the only SCBA rep required to stay to ensure awards are distributed to the appropiate teams. Once judging is over, the majority of the judges have done their job and can either take off or hang out. I don't need their congrats and the event coordinator does not need help passing out trophies and checks. I think I feel the same as many other cook teams.
