Sorry NZ Fred, I had to bail out at the last minute due to feeling distinctly unwell, I had raging toothache and a very swollen jaw, dentist in a few hours.
I digress, reports from my fellow season ticket holder said the second half was the worst in years, and that Burchnall just stood impassively on the sideline looking on.
When their winner went in, Roberts apparently ran to the dug out and went berserk, I'd love to know what he had said.
We are failing badly and going backwards. We just don't show any aggression on the pitch and I think that reflects the type of management we have, far too polite, basically too soft at this level.
We need 1) a no nonsense stopper of a centre-half. 2) Two aggressive ball winners in midfield, two younger O'Briens, 3) a big burly number 9 who will run through brick walls.
This is non-league football, just look at Boreham Wood. For God's sake their average gate is 900!!!
I'm afraid I'm not going to be surprised if we lost on Tuesday. I know we should not, but can you honestly say we'll win 3-0.
Hope your on the mend Mr M and feeling a tad better. I have to agree re the positions needed but why is he not playing Obrien who gives it is all everytime he plays and at least gets them moving. We have Rawlinson who heads and kicks everything in front of him good at this level. My team would be 442 Jaz, Richardson Rawlinson Lacey, Cameron, Roberts, Palmer, Vinny, Obrien, Roddy, Sam. There is a case for dropping Roddy at the moment but not much to fill in with. Sam deserves his chance no doubt about it. You could swap Roddy for Wooton but both are seriously off there game. Yep would love to hear what Roberts said too. Be interesting if he drops him for this one. I'm clutching at straws but think we will scrape a playoff birth but still won't go up baring a miracle. Like you I have no faith we can turn this one around so a 1-1 for me and desperately hoping for a win. It will depend on the team he puts out, his cronies or ones deserving and capable. Regards to all A down NZ FRED
