86.170.166.103
match.
Have gone away from the normal title to remeber the greatest headline ever in the old Football Post.
The date, November 21st 1970, the attendance, 21,012.
The home match against Northampton Town (Div 4) who were near the top at the time, we were top, in fact that season from the second Saturday onwards we stayed top all the time.
It was the homecoming of the goalscoring legend Tony Hateley........and I was there. With thousands of other Notts supporters standing where us home fans had always stood ......on the Kop. Jon Nixon getting the solitary goal, what a day.
Could Sol Campbell make such an impact on Saturday? I'm joking of course, not in a million years but he would add a few on. Tony Hateley more than doubled the previous best gate that day, (10,281 v Brentford).
YES....DOUBLED IT................You can't imagine it can you???
Notts need to win onSaturday to get back on track and keep this circus rolling on. I don't think anybody knows who the best team is yet, save for Kasper, Sol, MoloneyHughesey and Ritchie in the team.
We need to be at them from the start, the players know that. Why can't they do it. Don't blame the manager, blame them. I would say to those who are not up for it on Saturday, this is your last chance to be with me.
Notts to win 3-1 attendance.........6,891
I'll be there......................................
WE'RE THE ONE AND ONLY EXILES...GRRRRRRRRR
