The only way to get out of this league is with wingers a la Nixon and Crickmore in '71 and the same under lying sam in what was it '98.
Expect a little refinement when we go up but we will always have one wideish player for width.
The reason managers play with wingers at this level is because the defenders are generally poor at retaining possession and distributing the ball.
You need balls into the danger area asap witness Westcarr's centre caused mayhem and Hughes prodded it in.
If you get tall defenders all they can do is generally head it out, BUT cannot control the direction of the ball hence we get it back and start again until they make a mistake or we get lucky.
Now we have some above average strikers for this league, in Hughes we have someone who could still play in div 2 and as I have said will score 25 plus goals this season.
