I don't know why he didn't put the back teeth on lower temporary denture. I was thinking maybe he didn't want me putting pressure on the implants maybe. I don't really know I am going to ask him. In regards to your question getting food under the overdentue I don't. Sometimes I get food in the back of the denture but I just rinse and it comes out I brush my lower implants twice a day and when flossing them I use the proxabrush. Like you said it is so nice not to have to use denture cream. I would love to be able to have implants for the upper but do not have enough bone. He did say in a couple of years they coming out with something new that I will probably to able to have them put in then. I don't really have a problem with my uppers. It would probably be nice not to have the plate touch your palate. I have had dentures for years, and have gotten use to them. Never have had to use the denture cream on uppers. I am now trying to get use of the new uppers, as the teeth are longer and I have more of a overbite.
This has sure been a long procedure. glad it is finally coming to an end. I made 17 trips to my dentist last year.
Keep me posted on how you are doing.
Sharon
