Hi Ralph,
The frequency in which overdenture attachments need to be replaced depends on where the implants are, how strong your bite is, what your overdenture is opposing (natural teeth, another denture, bridgework) and whether or not you have a parafunctional habit (clenching and/or grinding--especially if you're wearing your denture at night). Why not ask your dentist why these attachments need to be replaced so often? For my overdenture patients, attachments need to be replaced every 2 - 4 years, so I would say that having to have them replaced every 2 months is quite frequent.
