This is an exciting time for you! It is natural to be nervous so I am not going to tell you not to be. I am the Queen of worrying about things I don't know what I am getting into. If it helps you, I know several people who got one implant and they experienced no pain at all. I had a whole mouth done and had no pain....just pressure; but that was due to an infection they found in my jawbone. I was sent home with Vicoden for the head pressure but weaned off of it in 4 days and just took Ifubrofen as needed. I was a wreck in the weeks before my surgery not knowing exactly what I was getting myself into and had a long chat about it with my primary care dr and my oral surgeon. Those chats really helped me a lot! I still worried but not as much. I knew I had a good team working on me and I knew I had to do something about my remaining baby teeth coming loose. So here I am now in the midst of recovery...trying to learn how to chew with a mouthful of teeth. I am determined to make this all worth it! Good luck to you! Patti
