Hi Caroline! Thank you so much for your kind words! I am keeping notes on what I notice I do not like about the teeth and how I am doing with them each day to show my Prothodontist. Hopefully this will show him that I am trying to get back to chewing food again. I'm working on it! My gums are really sore tonight as well as part of the roof of my mouth. I talked or read out loud for most of the afternoon today. I don't think they will make it without the plate because they knew I was not gung ho at all about having something near the roof of my mouth. Mine is not a high curving plate thank goodness. It's flat and juts out just under the roof of the mouth so it only touches a part of the roof of the mouth. I think it just touched a part of it. I don't have all my feeling back yet. It's starting to come back though since I am feeling soreness. When he made the last impression and showed me the teeth, I did ask him if there were smaller ones since I had baby teeth all my life and he assured me that they were the smallest they had. Maybe he can whittle away some of the acrylic that surrounds the teeth and sides and roof of mouth. Wishful thinking I think. I will be eager to see how he can adjust them further. Will post again. Thanks again! Patti
