Hi Everyone!
I am well on my way to recovery. Except for one glitch, my surgery went like textbook. My oral surgeon found a nasty infection in my right upper jaw so he had to clean that out and do more bone grafting than planned. Now it has to go through a 3 to 6 month healing time before he can put the implants in the right upper jaw. The rest of my mouth went like textbook. I will be getting my temporary teeth next Wednesday. I will get my bottom overdenture in 3 to 6 months. My top overdenture will have to wait until I heal after getting the upper right implants. In the meantime, I am home recuperating....taking naps and eating soft cold smooth treats. I was surprised how good I felt the first 2 days. I just had some pressure on the right side top of my head and a bit of a sore throat. No other pain or soreness desoute being bruised and swollen like I was in a fight. The anesthesia is still working it's way out of me so I'm taking a lot of naps right now.
Time to get back to the couch for another nap. Take care all! Patti
