Are you refering to the all-on-4 procedure? If so, I just had this done and I brush with a regular soft toothbrush until my stitches come out next week. After that, the dentist will give me a Waterpik and I have to use that instead of string floss, in addition to regular brushing. I was told I can use an electric toothbrush if I wish.
Brushing after each meal and using the WaterPik twice a day, and going to the dentist a couple of times a year (like you would with real teeth) for professional cleanings, is key in ensuring a successful outcome. Following the surgeon's instructions about sticking to a soft diet until osseointegration is complete is also a must.
I had this done in Canada - Toronto. I wouldn't have this done abroad if THEY paid ME because if something goes wrong, who would I go to? But that's just me. We all have to decide for ourselves.
I absolutely love my teeth, they feel great, look great, the only regret I have is that I didn't have this done sooner. I procrastinated for years due to fear.
