Hi Sharon,
Thank you sooo much for your feedback! I really appreciate you sharing your experience!
My surgery date is the 31st of May. You are correct in thinking that my overdenture will be removable. Due to my mouth structure, I am not a candidate for a prothosis that stays in. Ironically, I am not a candidate for regular dentures either. My prothodontist told me I would not be able to get into the tight spaces and clean them properly thus risking infection. So I will have implant overdentures that will come out at night. I was assured the overdentures would be stable while chewing. Time will tell. I have no idea what I am getting into but I know it's my only option since my remaining teeth are getting loose. As for the ice, I will be waking up to ice bags on my cheeks and will wear them for 48 hours according to my oral surgeon. I am glad you mentioned the Tylenol dosage. I never had pain pills other than codiene which I can't tolerate it so glad to know that 3 Tylenol may be an option. I will be asking about the meds they plan to prescribe at my next appointment.
Thanks for typing! Patti
