Hi Penny, I don't know how normal dental breakages are. My Mom never had a problem with hers breaking and she could eat anything. I have a pedi partial and have to avoid eating salad greens due to them getting stuck in the pedi partial causing it to break. One breakage like that was enough for me so I avoid salads now. Once I get my new implant supported overdentures in a few months, I may be able to eat salads again. Patti
