I had extract/implant done under local. My dr. Prescribed Vicodin for pain and I took some and I was throwing up all night long!! It turns out nausea & throwing up are common side effects of pain medication. I had no idea because I'd never taken vicodin before. I don't know how high the probability is that you will have nausea or throw up. Sometimes we just have to hope for the best. Share your concerns with your dr. I will never take vicodin again! Be careful with any pain medications prescribed. P.s. Don't worry you will not have painful or bleeding gums. I have already had 2 implant surgeries and there is very little pain and almost no bleeding at all. I personally HATE the taste of blood in my mouth so gross!! I also hate throwing up, but I got through it. Be well, Caroline
