Free Whelpers

How often if at all do EOB's need a c-section. I know they are suppose to be free whelper's but is there ever cases where they do require a c-section?

where a c-section is needed, like 2 pups trying to get out at the same time, or when only one horn has pups in it and doesn`t throw mom into full blown labor. but normally she should be able to free whelp

Hello Bonnie,
Any dog or any breed can require a C-section from time to time. As a rule the OEB breed should not require C sections.
We have breen breeding OEBs since 1992 and have never had to do a C- section but we are always prepared if the need should a rise , as any responsible breeder should be. JMO.
