Radio Days: is anyone dressing their girls in preparation for this event?

While my collection is small, I found some lovely pieces for a Cincinnati weekend of museum hopping, lunch at the Palm Court, a relaxing day sipping drinks by the pool, and a gala evening. I'd love to see what others would pack for their star!

I'm so excited for you all!!! Wish I was going and wish you all a WONDERFUL time!

were gonna be there! I love Gene's traveling suits (Goodbye New York, First Stop Chicago, Hello Hollywood) but since it's blazing hot summer, I wonder what she would wear on the train to Cinci?

Good point - first thing that come to mind are some of my DAE Vivian suits actually, for summer wear

Butterfly Shadow would be awesome! Or Plum Role, or Deep Rose....they all look good in so much!

While I love the "new" Genes, I find my faves are the AD ones but the picks you mentioned

I will be packing today...for myself as well as Gene...not taking much with me with regards to Gene...perhaps one doll in one outfit...hoping she gets some fabulous NEW frocks to wear throughout the event! In 2010 I took a Violet (since I absolutely love her)...not sure if I will take a Violet this year or another character...leaning towards Butterfly Shadow Gene, since she looks so incredible in everything! I am hoping to arrive an hour or so before the Wednesday registration meeting...I am guessing it will be a 5 hour drive, with one or two stops for cold drinks...see you there!

I finally decided on one Violet (Fascination head on an IT body...still wearing the wonderful HLAYG dress that Gerry made) and one Gene (Butterfly Shadow still wearing the Roses for Madam outfit)...don't worry, Madra will be there, too...bought a couple of nudes from Jeff which I will pick up at the hotel...almost grabbed a Trent as well...still LOVE the bearded and flocked Trent that Alain made for me...my skinnier mini-me!

and admiring her. I was sitting with Denise and her friend with the fabulous Violet and the lovely gown that Denise had sewn. It was great to meet all the people (and the dolls!)

of room sellers, but perhaps there will be one at the registration table. I love Violet, too--I've wanted the one where she is all in white, so gorgeous! I don't see them for sale on ebay very often. Will look forward to meeting you. Be safe on the roads!

and what dress?

I am imagining my girl (Apres Ski cuz she has the easiest hair for me to style) taking the train from Bridgeport (she's been spending some of the summer with her family in CT) and arriving Thurs. afternoon. She's wearing Gilty Girl for the train, the lovely black and red Balenciaga sheath for the museum tour and lunch at Palm Court. For her day to tour the train station, she is a little more casual in ivory star wardrobe pants and summer sweater and sun glasses. For the gala dance on Sat. she's wearing a navy polka dot halter dress with full skirt and a small feathered hat. Just for propriety's sake (and in case she wants to join the PJ party) she's packing her blue peignoir. What with the jewels, bags, shoes, gloves, hats and all, she's quite the high maintenance traveler! Too bad I don't have the wonderful luggage set, but I have a nice pair of round gold bags.

I'd send pictures just for fun, but my camera's on the blink.
