In Celebration of my mother : Laurienne Mailloux Bastien

Here is a photo of my mother. She was, is, and always will be a huge part of who I am. She represents respect, love, understanding, talents, smiles, and so much more. She was able to love all of her six children with their good and bad qualities. She loved us all "the way we were" and tought us to do the same in return. She shared all of her values with us and allowed us to use them as we saw fit. Never meddling in what paths we decided to take and yet was always there if/when we realized we had taken the wrong one, taking that opportunity to refresh our memories as to what her values were.
She was the perfect mother... with her good and bad qualities as well, and we were able to love her for who she was.
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady on my trip to Ottawa last summer. She made me laugh, she made me smile and just being around her was heaven. She made wonderful paintings and I am HONORED to have one hanging in my home! She lives, in my heart and mind, and everytime I see her painting, I smile!
