I have wanted this lovely Gene ever since I first saw a promo photo for her...was not sure I would ever get her...thanks to a generous tax refund this year, I was able to get her from an online doll store, perfect and with no yellowing (thus far)for the original selling price! I do wish the shrug was a little more loose to allow for other arm poses (yep, Gene is practically restrained in that shrug!)...
hmmmm...I rarely ever see photos of this doll/outfit and pretty much never see her on the secondary market, so i assumed she was very popular and treasured among collectors...who knew?
I also love those outfits with either very special fabric or special adornments (such as embroidery)...I don't mind paying for an outfit that I know I could never make myself!
