to do a painting of the gown for me. Of course, I am from the LA area, and I loved the rich history associated with this gown and the Biltmore Hotel. This was also my first doll convention, and the wonderful memories will stay with me for a lifetime. The gown is unusual, but it is a reproduction of the gown worn by socialite Peggy Hamilton when the Biltmore opened. She designed it based on the ceiling in the Crystal Ballroom.
