I take many more photos than ever end up displayed online (whether on my own Gene Yahoo group or other sites)...when I was doing the chronology, I tried to take several shots, with and without flash, to try to get the best photo I could, given my limited use of space, time, and equipment...I was in a hurry, so I took tons of photos to see what turned out later...
Also, having many photos of a collection is good for a many reasons...it creates a record of what you own (great for inventory as well as any possible future insurance claim for damages)...also, when I moved back to Indiana, most of my Gene dolls were still in storage in California along with the rest of my household goods...I had to go 2 years with just a handfull of dolls/outfits I shipped with me...so the photos I had on my laptop were a great comfort to me while I awaited my settling in and the arrival of my household goods...so, good or bad, a photo can be a very treasured item! Snap away and save away...
