Hello all,
Just wanted to drop a line and first thank Brendan for the website and second let everyone know what we are up to. As I am sure you can well imagine all this rain has put a hamper on the opening of our track for practice days. On the positive side it has given our pump and drainage system a real test and I am happy to report it all works. We are gearing up for our racing season to begin in June and I promise the best show on dirt. For those of you not hooked on Speedway yet, we will run a 50cc class for the kids in addition to a XR100/TTR125 class along with a 250cc 2 stroke motocross based class. We have lots of interest in our Speedway but seem to be having trouble getting the word out about our other shorttrack classes. Come on out and try sliding sideways with us on one of the nicest dirt ovals in the Midwest. If you would like to get on our mailing list or need some additional info just shoot me an email.
On the funny side. We Just purchased a tractor to help with grass cutting, track prep etc. The owner was concerned saying the tractor had worn out brakes. "Brakes?" I said. "Heck the bikes have no brakes, our water truck has no brakes and I'm not reall sure I remember what the right pedal is even for!"
