Wow! What a day we had yesterday. I ended up doing about 360 miles on an antique (1976) bike with my antique (1954) body and it was the first long ride of the year. I worked hard keeping up with the modern machinery, but the old Hondamatic hung in there. Not only was I down on horsepower compared to the rest of the bikes, but Hondamatics had less than the manual 750's to begin with. Handling was another issue. I have it equipped with some decent Dunlop rubber, but there were moments I had to talk myself through a couple of hard turns. This old man and old bike got a work out. Would I do it again?? You better believe I will. Just give me a few days to recover. This type of riding was easier when I was younger and did it all the time. One thing about it, I did get to refresh some rusty riding skills. We all had a blast and if you missed out, trust me when I say you missed a great time.
