when i was at lowes other day getting bulbs they had christmas trees for sale. now you know by christmas they will be all dried out in your house
Some people put out their trees early then take them down Christmas Day right after the gifts are opened. My oldest niece and her family does this, although their tree is artificial. They put it up in early November and put the gifts under it as they go shopping. They open the gifts Christmas morning and dismantle the tree and put away all the Christmas decorations right after lunch. By the time they sit down for Christmas dinner, everything Christmas related has already been packed away. To them the tree only exists to have gifts under it for 'show'.
Since we get real trees, we get them right before Christmas and take them down mid-January.
It was in the upper 60s earlier this afternoon. Morning sun turned into afternoon clouds. I'm waiting for my mom's doctor to call to let me know he's on his way for the home visit. Maybe I'll get the laundry done tonight? Not sure yet. My sister was supposed to come by and take care of something with the house, but never did. So I don't know if I'll be able to make a quick trip to the supermarket and the laundromat after dinner since she's not here to spend time hanging out with our mom.
