They decided to switch her to a stronger antibiotic last night. The one that had been used repeatedly but for only three days at a time won't cut it anymore. So basically the other stupid hospital made her bacterial infection resistant to the original antibiotic. This is what I was afraid might happen and had spoken to the infectious disease doc at the old hospital about it but he just blew me off. So now at the new hospital they need to try something else. The public is always warned about taking a full course of antibiotics and not just stopping after a couple of days when you first start to feel better because the infection can still be there and you're just potentially making the bacteria antibiotic-resistant, and this is what the idiot doctor at the old hospital did.
I have had lunch and fed the cat his canned food. I just need to give him more dry food and change his water then go. Poor kitty hates spending so much time alone in the afternoons and early evenings. He was our Covid lockdown kitten so he grew up always having people home with him.
On my way home last night I stopped by the Home Depot down the road from the hospital to buy a new table lamp for the upstairs hallway. I bought a package of screws for something else, but they're too small so it's back to the Home Depot for me on the way home. This one is a little smaller than our Home Depot so everything is more jammed in and the setup is different. When you first walk inside all the Christmas decor is right there. I'm not even ready to think about the holidays. Kohl's has had their stores in Christmas mode since early October.
