My sister from VA drove up to drop off her cat with us. She's going to a four day business conference. He's already settled in and napping on the living room sofa. Soon I'll be off to visit my mom. It will be a dull quiet day for her, no PT/OT on the weekends and fewer social events for the patients. Afterwards it's laundry again for me since I'm taking care of her stuff. She only has very basic clothes with her, some inexpensive basic tee-shirts, older pairs of sweatpants and new but inexpensive cotton leggings and cotton socks, so if anything gets lost or misplaced it's not a big deal. The only real issue is keeping an eye on her light jackets from Uniqlo since she's always chilly and wears them every day. The last time she had in-patient PT at a different place two years ago, the staff ignored the fact I was doing her laundry and they washed her stuff anyway. I made the mistake of bringing her regular clothes and she never got back a lot of her socks, plus they kept giving her Croft and Barrow shirts to other patients and I had to push to get them back.
