Hi Teri;
I have a 22 year old registered QH mare. I bought her a few years ago from a school in Akron Ohio, where she was used for young riders to learn how to ride. In February of this year, I free leased her. I went to check on her at the beginning of October only to find her emaciated and neglected. I took her immediately and brought her home. I am working on getting the weight back on her. I had her vet checked, her teeth floated and her hooves trimmed, none of which the previous leasee had done. The vet said that she is fine other than needing groceries and I can show you the papers from the vet. When I had her feet done, the previous leasee had let her grow way to long, resulting in a flat heel. She now has to have shoes on her front at all times. Other than this, she is perfectly sound. I used her before for my 6 year old son and she was wonderful. The only vice she has is she is "cinchy" - meaning that while you are putting the saddle on her, she pins her ears and turns her head like she is mad. I just tied her short and she was fine. she has never kicked or bitten, she bathes, loads, trims, comes to you. she is a wonderful little mare that has a lot to offer. She is very loving and loves attention. She is a push button horse, knows all her cues. She just still needs a little weight put on her, though she has picked up a lot and is doing great. She is 15 hands and is dark bay. If you are interested, I would only ask that you sign a "forever give back" contract, meaning that if things do not work out, that you would let me have the option of taking her back first. She really is a great mare, and I just want her to go to a home where she will be loved and cared for. I can send you pics if you wish, or if you have other questions, please ask. acetranscription@yahoo.com.
thanks
