14 yr old black appendix AQHA mare for sale in Virginia. Approx. 15 hds with blaze and hind stockings. She's an easy keeper that has never been sick, never coliced, never foundered, etc... No bite/kick. She has great hooves that don't need shoes. She rides western and is a great trail horse for an intermediate rider. This mare was bred for speed and to see her run through a pasture it's a crying shame she was never put on the track.
She is sired by Ichi Rocket, a 1970 QH who has his racing ROM. Ichi Rocket is by Ichibon (SI-91), who is sired by Nashville(TB)who earned $90,895 and is out of Fiddled Out (SI-95 AAA)who is a daughter of Rebel Cause (SI-100 AAAT), a winner of $85,586. Ichi Rocket is out of Rocket Bar's Sue, a daughter of Rocket Bar who earned $22,904 and is probably best known as the grandsire of Dash For Cash. Ohter well known horses in the sire line include: Nasrullah (TB), Bonnie Beryl (earner of $119,970, Top Deck (TB) and Three Bars (TB).
She is out of Rose Clarion (TB) by Bold Clarion, a 1971 TB stallion who earned $112,071 on the track. Bold Clarion is by KY Derby Winner Proud Clarion, who earned $218,730, and out of the Bold Ruler daughter La Bonne Mouche. Rose Clarion is out of Rosy Ruler, a 1964 TB mare who was sired by Dark Ruler, earner of $93,984 and out of a granddaughter of Triple Crown winner War Admiral.
We are offering this mare bred to our APHA Superior halter stallion Mr Painted Moon (HYPP n/n),a multiple futurity winner and earner of 60 open halter points. He is sired by Mr Painted World (Mr World x Painted Robin Etta by My Painted Robin) and out of Impressive Chinadoll (Im Impressive Jack by Pretty Impressive x Ms Sonny Set by Sonny Go Lucky). With a very limited foal crop he has sired multiple futurity money winners and Mr Painted Rain, who is a APHA champion with 2 Superiors and 4 ROM's.
