Kate,
Actually in total, I posted a total of six times in all the message boards. If that constitutes a "lot", then my idea of a lot and yours is different. I merely stated that often times we wait too long, no only on our pets but for ourselves as well when needing medical care, that when we do seek help, its worse or could have been averted at the first symptoms. Everyone is entitled to their thoughts etc. You and I are no different.
: Okay well I don't really want to get into
: this. But I haven't heard of a depressed
: horse. Are you sure this horse isn't grazing
: in the pasture when you aren't around.
:
: Anway, I understand where April is comming
: from as well as the others.
:
: Sissy, I don't know why you always get smart
: with people though. I have seen so many
: posts where you get snappy. Why? If someone
: posts a horse for sale and don't reply for
: around 4 days, you jump on them.
:
: I'm done w/ this thread.

: April, She said it had been four days, how
: many days do you think she should wait?
: Ten, twelve?

: I think he may snap out of it. If it has
: only
: been going on for a day or so. He might have
: an upset stomach. If he still isn't eating
: since it has been a few days call the vet.

: I have three horses and their heads are
: always
: down in the grass constantly eating. My
: personal opinion is to call your vet, have
: him checked out. Its the safest way to go.
: You will only be out the cost of a vet bill
: (I know sometimes not cheap, but when you
: have pets, you know this) and if he is ill,
: then you will have started him on some type
: of antibiotic etc and caught it in time.
: There could be so many reasons, but most
: likely a vet will be able to detect the
: problem, whether it be an infection or bad
: teeth. Good luck and God Bless

: months ago.he has been really great up
: untill about 4 days ago, he isnt eating very
: much(even if there is grass and hay
: avalable) and he seems to just float arround
: the pasture with the other horses only he
: just stands there instead of eating.
