thanks to everyone who helped! i did call the vet and he said the horse is in perfect health and to just try to "do " more with him to keep his mind busey for a while untill he gets fully settled(i thought after 4 months he would be) but anyways i have been riding him 2 times dailey and he is doing much better, he drinks his entire bucket of water almost every night now and he is eating more that before so i think we are on the way to getting him back on his feet again! thanks again to everyone! --Previous Message-- : i have to agree with all if it was only a : day or two then its not that big if he is : still drinking but i would stall him up to : be sure on the amount that he is : eating/drinking anything over 48 hours is : not good ecspecialy if he is not drinking : horses dehydrate fast the best bet would be : to call the vet asap but if you are really : straped for money you can chance it and give : 2-3 days but i thought it said 4 days : already mhen posted onthe 12 its the 15 now : so if he has not seen a vet i hope is is : eating and back to him self or you get one : out there today : --Previous Message-- : Just give him some time, if he won't eat : after a while then call the vet. : : --Previous Message-- : i bought a barrel racing paint horse about 4 : months ago.he has been really great up : untill about 4 days ago, he isnt eating very : much(even if there is grass and hay : avalable) and he seems to just float arround : the pasture with the other horses only he : just stands there instead of eating. : : : : : :
