Please join me for Mohawk Mill Sportster for Field Trial Hall of Fame...... MOHAWK MILL SPORTSTER A champion, sire and grand sire of Champions and futurity winners for Field Trial Hall of Fame. Sport proved his versatility by winning on pen raised, pre-released and wild quail and pheasant. From his derby year through to his death.
Sport’s record as of June 20, 2012 stands at 42/57/277. I posted last year, Sport’s record as of June 6, 2011 stood at 42/48/230, his get CONTINUE to be seen in the field trials and the American Field from walking stakes to shooting dog to all-age stakes.
He was not bred to any and all, but he was bred to better the breed and this he did and his lineage only continues.
He was the Purina All-Age dog of the year in the 2008-2009 season and his grandson Mohawk Mill Blaze was the 2010-2011 dog of the year and now his great grandson Mohawk Mill Pirate is the 2011-2012 Purina Amateur All-Age dog of the year . His lineage holds four of the top 10 Purina All-Age dogs in the 2010-2011 season not to mention many others. He was a 5x Champion and 4x Runner-Up with the following: National Amateur Pheasant Championship, Continental Amateur All-Age, Continental Derby Championship, Region 3 Amateur All-Age, twice at the North Carolina Open Quail Championship, Tar Heel Open All-Age Championship, Region 16 Amateur All-Age Championship, Region 2 Amateur All-Age Championship and the winner of the National Amateur Invitational Championship at Ames Plantation. As stated in the American Field in the May 14, 2011 issue “they (dogs) are to be evaluated on their performance record and their record as a producer, that is, contributing to the pointing dog breed by their winning offspring.” I completely agree and believe that Mohawk Mill Sportster is that candidate. Please help place Sport along with the other greats, in field trial history, in the Hall of Fame in Grand Junction, Tennessee.

"Sport" was one of the best I've ever seen and I saw him a lot. It was my honor to both, judge and compete against him over several seasons at Hoffman. He had some great All Age performances, for sure. Sportster was a great competitator and producer and certainly belongs in the Bird Dog Hall of Fame. He has my vote. Jim Jones
