I have a group of physicians as clients who hold their annual meetings at exotic places. This year they did a big game hunt in South Africa. Yesterday, in our quarterly meeting they asked me for recommendations on a 1st class quail hunt for next years meeting.
Besides Colvin & Maize's Davis's operation in Alabama, I haven't had any first hand experience at the various plantations that offer public hunting. My experience is limited to various field trials across the south and hunting on private property or trainers leases. There are lots of places on the web but it's hard to know if their hunts and accommodations are as advertised. Obviously expense is not a major consideration.
I'd appreciate any recommendations you may have and hopefully they'll be based on your personal experiences or first hand knowledge. They prefer southern AL, southern GA or Northern FL in late January or early February.
