As the field trial season is winding down it is time to be considering membership in The Field Trial Hall of Fame. I would ask your consideration for Garland Priddy, a candidate who : Trained and campaigned in the highest caliber of Open All Age competition. Among dogs he trained and ran were 4 members of the Birddog HOF: Addition's Go Boy, The Kansas Wind, Go Boy's Shadow, and Mac's Reelfoot Chief. Garland handled Mr.Pete Frierson's dogs to over 50 Championships and 41 All-Age stake wins: Won- The Open Invitational Championship Won- The Southern Championship - 3 times Won- The Continental Championship - twice Each of the above are especially of note as they are endurance trials Fierson dogs were trained and handled by Garland in Open stakes. Mr. Frierson, and later Jerry Black, handled them in Amateur stakes. The Priddy trained dogs retired all three National Amateur Championship trophies: The Quail, Pheasant and Chicken by each being won a minimum of three times. The total being fourteen National Amateur Championships. For 22 years his dogs were campaigned and won from the Praries of Canada and South Dakota to the quail belt of the south. Garland helped organize and run The Southern Championship, The Mississippi Championship, The Cajun Classic, The Frank Stout, The Region 6 and The National Amateur Championship. He has judged countless club and Championship trials including The Southeastern, The National Amateur Quail Championship, The Open and Amateur Invitationals, The Continental Derby (twice), The Continental All Age Championship (six times) The Region 3 Championship, and The Quail Futurity (three times). The list grows as he contines to give back to the sport he loves. Competing with amateur status now, the love of dogs and trials has not diminished one iota. I would ask that you evaluate the record presented here. If there are those who are more deserving, then by all means vote in their favor. If you feel this record deserves your consideration then I hope you will cast your vote for Garland Priddy. Yours in sport. Tommy Stargell

I couldn't agree with you more, Tom. I stand in the corner of Garland Priddy with bells on and swinging a florescent sign attesting to his candidacy.
