Pointers I would have fed

Saw Mr Lewis traweek's obit in the Field. He owned Snake Creek warrior, which I saw at a trial on Mr Friersons old grounds near Jackson ms. He'll of a dog and a running sob. Should have won that trial, but the gallery messed him up (meaning probably me). I would have fed him. Bob Blyth owned a big pointer I saw at mortlach that was a tremendous dog. They never got himright, but He ran like a deer, smooth and effortless. I walked up to him on his chain and he jumped up and put his feet damn near on my shoulders laid his head on my chest and asked me to pet him. All that old dog wanted was a friend and I would have taken him home right then. I never saw him again and you know what happened to him.

: Sure does not look encouraging to not see
: anything that hints of any one course trials
: in GA next month
: Back in the day, Mark Flanagan started a
: half hour trial on Doc Flanagan's grounds
: because in his opinion there weren't enough
: NY state qualifiers for the Pheasant SD Ch
: at Baldwinsville. When I first started in
: the early '60s, it was all half hour trials,
: very few championships. Now it seems like
: it might be the other way around.
