Thanks to Wisconsin bird dog trainer, writer and enthusiast, Rand Constalie for his interesting article about Buena Vista Prairie Chicken Management Area near Stevens Point, WI. The trials there in the fall are the Amateur and Open Prairie Chicken Championships and accompanying derby stakes. The Greater Prairie Chicken is one of the most difficult wild birds for a dog to handle and point. And conditions at Buena Vista are often trying. Thanks also to Allen Dunbar for supplying some photos from the trials.

As to our long absence...our efforts have gone into the new Strideaway website and its content. The newly designed website pages have been turned over to Integra Strategic to do the programming. Their time frame looks to be about one month to create the website, including a new, much more robust online store. Moving the content from the current site to the new one and adding the new content will take an additional couple of weeks.
Mazie and I welcome your input for ideas on articles, interviews, stories etc. of interest to all field trialers.
